Thumbs down Stupid driver tricks

On my way to work this morning on the Outer Loop I got behind an Accord that was weaving a little and going slower than the traffic flow, so I moved over a lane to pass. As I passed by I glanced over and saw a woman with a USA Today draped over the steering wheel. She was reading it while going 65 mph!!!

Cells

This might tick some people off but I hate to see people yacking on a cell phone while driving. I was behind some woman driving 25 mph in a 50 zone on the way to work the other morn. When I finally get a chance to get around her and practice my usual road rage single finger sign language, I saw she would never notice. She was too f&%$@%g busy telling Bush how to handle the terrorists and the economy on her cell phone.Get a hands free unit, PLEASE.

Man, I've been a commercial driver for 11 yrs. and have seen people doing things while driving that would amaze most people and cause some to park their cars and take up walking. Over the past few years, the worst things have involved cell phones more than anything else. For example, I see business people not only talking on the phone, but sifting through reports, drinking coffee, opening and closing brief cases, and having a meal. All this at the same time while steering with thier knees and making high speed maneuvers in and out of traffic. In truth, I would have been impressed; but, the only thing that saved her from an accident was all the swerving and braking that the rest of traffic was doing to avoid her. The thing is, if asked, most of the idiots I see doing this sort of thing would brag about their super-human abilities behind the wheel.

She's still a rookie. I see women reading, eating, adjusting radio station, and putting make up on all at the same time

That's a given. I left that part out because I didn't want to be accused of using a cliche'.

Odin's Wrath - do you drive a truck? I used to have drive a box truck b/n NYC and NJ for one summer, the things I saw. It's great when you get to sit up high and look down into cars and see what they're doing. The things I have seen girls do in cars by themselves

Eyelash curling at 65mph

About the wildest thing I ever saw was a female who was using one of those eyelash curlers (you know the kind that clamps on the lashes) while going down the freeway. I was amazed at her skill!

Yep, guilty as charged. I drive local now; but, I used to drive OTR. I've seen a lot of that sex stuff going on. There are probably a few things I haven't seen out there on the road, but there can't be much.

I heard on the radio that a woman was stopped because of weaving, she was putting on her panty hose on the way to work. I find that hard to believe but that is what the guy said.

Try the Bay Area

Cell phones, lap tops, make up, you name, we've got it. Since we have all these people around here that can afford the multi million dollar houses, they can also afford their BMW's and Mercedes, and the fines for thier driving and thier insurance.
