Hey all

Next summer im going to look into buying a Lightning. I have a 2001 f150 4.6, I put it on a dyno last night and it was only putting out 196.5 horsepower and 243.7 foot pounds of torque,
thats just not enough power, in fact it sucks. And no matter what I do it will never come close to a Lightning. The nearest Lightning dealer is about two hours from me, and they mark there trucks up 8-10 thousand over the sticker price, I asked the sales man why the high mark up, he said because we only get about 15 Lightnings a year we don`t negociate prices, you either pay the price or go some place else. They had a used 2000 Lightning with 12000 miles, it was very clean and they wanted over 38000 for it.
thats more than a new one. I don`t think I will be buying a truck there.
Does ford have a number that I can call to get a list of the Lightning dealers nearest to me?.

$38,000 for a used 2000? You near the bay area?

My 2000 L with 12,000 miles, mint, wouldn't get $28,000 in the L.A. market.

There are plenty of good deals right now, for new and used L's.

 

Thanks for the help, I went to fords svt site and found two dealers not far from my house. By the way, the dealer I mentioned above is also a roush dealer, he had 4 stage 3 roush mustangs and they were all priced at 61000+ dollars. I wonder how many of those he sells in a week?.
