New Head unit and speakers are in!
First I'd like to send thanks to all who've replied to my posts giving advice over the install. It wasn't hard at all. I hope not to offend anyone, but after the new head unit + speakers, I've realized the factory system in the Lightning is a joke! Pioneer p4300 head unit, Pioneer 6x8 3-ways in the front, 6x8 2-ways in the rear. Just under $400 for all components and the sound is better in every way imagineable!

I guess you were able to figure out the diagram I sent ya!
I knew the formatting wouldn't stay. I put Infinity Components in my L (in the front only) and disconnected the rear speakers. Then added a sub (only wanted a little bass, you can't even hear mine outside the truck) and kept the rest of the factory system. That made a huge difference. I will probably add a new HU sometime in the near future. Only thing is, I really like the speed sensitive volume in the factory unit, and the changer would become useless with a new HU.
Later,
Roger
