hey gang, need your help!

My dad has a Sweeet 2002 F250 4 door, its Black on Gold. Hes got the diesel and wants to go fast!

He has been trying to find a place, or someone that does "mods" for his truck, so he can achieve some more power.

I need to know what you guys think he should do... and non of this trade for a lightning stuff.... he needs a big truck, has lots of land and animals to care for...

If you have ideas for anything with this, post a reply. We need to know who makes the mod, and where he could get it.

Thanks!

Wink

check up in the Diesel Section. lots of mods/chips etc up there. better beef up the tranny first, the ps puts out a lot of torque as is, and the chips can add 100hp/ft lbs. then you can go with a propane/nitrous set-up. those critters won't stand a chance at round-up time. YEE-HAAAA!

Hey Madness, Bambino here. Jim did a chip for my Stroke. I went with a 60hp and man do I love it. He offers the 80hp and 110hp through Superchips also. It all depends on How far he wants to go with it. 60 is plenty and practical. The 110 will blow the tires off

I have seen a new F250 SD 4x4 4-door short bed run a 13.9 before. It was on the internet somewhere. Anyways you can make them run. I believe he had a "offroad" superchip. It was a flipchip and can't tow over 4,000 lbs. on that setting. Also had a filter kit and exhaust system. I think he had a Bulldog propane system too. I don't see how a powerstroke can run 13's. He also had it in 4-wheel drive for traction.
I think I should have bought a powerstroke.lol

If you look in Truckin or other mags like that you'll probably find some ads for places that deal with diesel hop-up parts. I think BanksPower is one of them. They offer "packages" like chip and exh etc.

Good Luck.

Later...

Hey Madness

Hope your dad is running 3.73's. 4.10's are to low for the powerstroke. Top end for 3.73's is about 108mph @ 3200rpms. That's perfect for the track.

hummm dunno for sure

he can look at the spec label on the inside of the drivers door to see what ratio correct? If so, what number is he looking for? and what ratios would they equate too?

I know it says the gear ratio on the window sticker. Is it in your glove box? www.performancedieselparts.com
Its either 3.73 or 4.10 for a powerstroke.

After looking under this website I think I am going to sell my Lightning and get another 4x4 powerstroke.lol
Looks like you have enough mods to run 12's.
Maybe I will put a powerstroke in my Lightning
