Thumbs down Lightning Kinda Slow?

Not real sure about my 99 lightning. Feels pretty quick
sometimes. Any advice would be helpfull.

stock-2.197 60 ft. bald F1's
14.181 1/4 mile
97.47 mph.
JDM Chip-1.971 60ft. new Toyo Proxes
13.689 1/4 mile
99.49 mph.

Just seems like others are going faster.

Thats seems alittle slow depending on the track altitude and air quality, but pretty close.

How do you like the Toyos?
Do a search to check launch procedures too. These trucks seem to launch better at idle and rolling into the throttle. Otherwise I'd look into the air quality.
Did you allow the truck to cool (ice) down?
What kind of boost #'s are you seeing?
Check the boost actuater adjustment.
If you have many miles you may look at changing the fuel filter (above 15K).
There some ideas anyway.

The toyos seem to have made a difference. Although I don't have
much of a comparison because I purchased the truck used and the original F1's were already bad. I've heard that the toyo's
provide better dry traction than the F1 but worse traction in the rain.

I personally hate toyo tires i ran them on my mustang and got rid of them before they were bad, swicted over to Yokohama and what a world of difference even in the rain

I think you are right where you should be. They all seem to run within a couple tenths of eachother. I believe most 99's ran 14-13.8 1/4 mile times depending on the track conditions, weather, tires, etc.

Here's how my 99 ran:
Stock 13.9
JL Ram Air and Chip 12.85
JL Ram Air, JL Diablo Chip, 3lb Pulley, M/T Streets 12.43
and down from there......

I have Toyo Proxes S/T tires on my 99 also. Overall, I like them better than the F1's, wet and dry. The L is a tricky vehicle to drive in the rain with ANY tire. The dry is definately better.

Air quality/Temp is a HUGE factor w/ these trucks. More so than any other vehicle I've ever owned. Back in August (stock w/ K&N filter) I ran a 14.3 @ 96 mph (1.99 60ft). Temps were low 90's w/ 80% humidity (30.0 baro).

A month later, in late September I ran it again.... this time the temps were Low 80's, 75% humidity (30.1 bar). I ran 14.0 @ 98 mph (2.05 60ft).

I took it back again in late October. Temp: 65 deg., 55% hum., 30.3 baro. I pulled a best of 13.61 @ 101 (w/ 1.96 60ft). So based on Weather alone, I was able to cut .7 off my ET and pick up 5 mph.

Then I chipped it and ran 13.20 @ 104.6 (but that's a different story)

Without knowing the Weather conditions (and altitude) of your runs it's tough to say if that is good or not.
