Stero Pic

I just got my scanner working and finished my photo album. Here is a picture of my JVC KWXC 770 stero I got installed a few months back. Tell me how you like it.

wow, that is really cool. Maybe i will buy a new one instead of installing my old one. I like how that fills up the entire dash area.

It looks like a really nice stereo. I really like how it fills up the space. I don't like all the lights and buttons.

they dont make an mp3 player like that do they?

I think it looks pretty nice, like how it fills the space. Were any special mods needed to make it fit?

Yes, installation was done customly. This unit was not made for an American veh (what the stero shop said). They had to rewire the entire harness to make it work. Installation cost arount 250.00. I think it was worth it though.

Bad *** setup. What kind of carbon-fiber kit did you use? It looks sweet.

I hate to say it but they saw a sucker walk in that door that day.

they did a nice job on the install but there's no speacial wiring for that radio. I used to sell JVC and other radio's and the formats for the wiring is all the same and even if it wasn't the same there's only 1 way to do that.

You have a constant power, a switch power when the trucks turned on, four positve and negative speaker wires, a ground, a remote wire for amps, and some ilumination wires for vehicles that need them. The only way that would be difficult to install is if we had a stock amp, or an old infinity radio system with four speaker wires to eeach speaker.

About 50 to 75 bucks is the normal for a radio install. Yours being a custom install because they had to cut the black frame to fit the radio would cost maybe 100 to 125. Its not that hard to cut it out, just about 1/4 of an inch and it will fit in there. MY truck is kinda the same with 2 single din size radios. Your radio is just a double din size radio. same hieght and width.

I don't want to flame you or anything I just want to inform you that your shop is trying to play some games if thats what they told you. If you bought a wiring harness its even easier to install. Just connect the wires that are the same color and your done.

With that said it looks awesome and I like it. I was thinking about switching mine to a double din with a cd and MD player also, but I like having a 3 disc MD changer in my dash with the single CD player.

GOOD LUCK!

No flame taken man. I know that seemed kinda high, but the only reason I paid it and believed the guy was because they were the 5th shop I had taken it too and the only ones with enough skills to do it. All the other shops said they did not have the knoledge to do it.

I think it looks really good! Say, does that work with the factory 6-disc changer?

The carbon fiber kicks a$$. Where did you get it and how much $?

Don't feel bad, man. A shop that does good work stays pretty busy. Sometimes they will over quote on a job that's going to take more time than they are willing to spend. They do this to scare the customer away. If the customer accepts, they feel they are compensated for either their time, or the extra headache that may be involved. It sucks; but, that's how it works sometimes.

By the way, nice setup!
