are thease speakers a good choice and will they fit in the l's door speaker grill ?

 

I have heard great things about them and was going to go with those until I read about the Infinity Perfect Line of separates. You will have to make a plate in order to use them and you may have to cut a bit. Not too sure on that though.

 

I found a pair new in the box for $250 and from what I have seen at good guys it seems like a seal

 

That is about what they go for on Ebay. If you can get that without shipping, I would jump on them. Just remember, you need a big amp for those to sound the way they are designed to!

But has anyone installed them where the stock speakers go in the doors ? without to much cutting. Or do you have to move the tweets to some other location ?

From what I have saw with the search so far everyone has had to place the tweeters in places other than behind the stock grill

 

You can either buy or make a plate for the stock location and you can mount the tweeters there. You may have to do some cutting though. Another option is buy some molded kick panels that have a provision for a tweeter. I am installing Q-Forms in my truck. Just waiting for the rest of the system to arrive!
