4x4 trans pan install
Just was wondering how much fluid everybody has lost when doing this mod? How much fluid do I need to buy?

I think mine took about 8 quarts.

I just did the trans fluid change this weekend on my 4x4, and LTNBOLT is right, the pan holds about 8 quarts.

Yep, 8 quarts it is. I used Mercron specific (NOT Mercron V) fluid. I think I used Aamco brand...can't remember for sure.

Just did mine on Thanksgiving. About 7 quarts of Valvoline Mercon ATF.
