Lightbulb fog light mod for 99L

First of all, let me say it is late and I was too tired and didnt have much time to do a search so any info will be greatly appreciated. I am interested in fixing it so my fog lights will come on when my auto lamp is set to come on for my headlights with the headlight switch still in the off position. This is for a 99L as I know the year models differ a little. Any help regarding this matter will be appreciated. Thanks in advance guys. Later.

You can go to www.svtlightnings.com and follow the links to "How To's", or here it is: http://www.svtlightnings.com/svt/foglamps/foglamps.htm

Read the very last part too, about notching the shaft. Mine operates and feels like OEM.

I think those instructions are for a 00. Mine is a 99. I think the difference is the auto lamp on mine is a dial beside the panel dim dial, it isnt on the **** like the 00. I want to fix mine so the foglights come on with my headlights when my auto lamp is activated. If i just fix it so I can pull out the switch and leave it out in the off position so it will come on with auto lamp then will they stay on all the time, even during the day when the autolamp is off. I just thought I might could fix it somehow so the would come on at night when the autolamp activated my headlights and not have to turn the **** and cut them on manually. Thanks for the info though. Does anyone else with a 99 understand what i am talking about that can give me some info. thanx

I see what you're saying. So the pre '00 the autolamp control isn't integrated in the light switch itself, it's a seperate control? If that's the case, you're right. I'm not sure how could do that, or if you could. I don't remember seeing anything other than these that are compiled on svtlightnings.

If you go back to those original posts here on f150online, you might find more information mixed in. It seems like it was about 18 months ago when these guys were working through it.

Thanks for the info. Yes the auto lamp switch is not on the headlight ****, it sits beside it. I will try and search around and find it. In the mean time if anyone knows where i could get this info please let me know.

Hey Kitbuf, any info I get I'll pass it along. Someone has to know out there. Hopefully!! I want to be able to control my foglights and turn them on/off when ever I want without having to turn on the headlights.

I want to be able to turn my fog lights on with the parking lights. I do not care if they come one with the auto lights cause I do not use the auto light setting. Can someone tell me if the link that is in one of the posts above will tell me how to do the mod that I want? Thanks for any information.

Later
Damon

99blklitng, this mod would work for that. This link tells you step by step on what to do. I know this will work because I did it earlier today. So I hope this is what you are looking for.
