Digital boost guage?

Anybody using these things? It's the way I'd like to go if they're worth it.

Odin, I use these dual digital guages, They are great. They have a memory, so it stores youir maximum boost, also alerts for low or high pressures or temps.

Calightnin,

I like that, also. I can get two guages in one and mount it on the column instead of the a-pillar. Did you have to install a sending unit? How hard was the install? 'And how much? Thanks for the reply, also.

Calightnin, i sent an email to a dealer and said that there were having some problems with the company that makes them. he said some of the guages were failing. what are your experiences with them? any problems?

heres what the guy sent me:

Hello Joey, and thank you for your inquiry!
Regarding the gauges, I really love them. That is what preceeded our becoming a dealer for them.
The bad news is, at this time I'm not selling the gauges. We experienced a large failure ratio of the
thermocouples, temp sensors, and the pressure transducers. I currently have several hundred dollars of
warranty parts in dispute with SPA. To reiterate, I love the gauges and anyone that has purchased them does as well.
It is unfortunate that they are not reliable.

You have a Lightning eh? We see one or two at Sears Point when we race.

I'm located right over the hill from you in Half Moon Bay.
Get back to me if you would like to see the gauges up close.
I could meet you over in your area possibly.

Regards,
Nowel

Here is post i made a while back on the subject.

Ive hade no problems with the guages. I have two of them. Boost Lbs/Boost Water Temp and Oil Pressure/Water Temp. Bought them from Noel. Sending units were not difficult to put in as far as sending units go. I have them in a Lotek pillar pod. I'll geta pix. Probably me at Sears Point, current go to Sacramento since Sears Point is closed and being rebuilt. Usually Im the only L there. You ready to go J15BIG? Email me if you have more questions.

i looked at those DEFI guages. all i can say is wow! they look awsome. all those features. plus the daisy chain setup. a lot less wires to work with in the a-pillar itself. they even match the stock white face guages. looks like ill be goin with these guages. thanks bob for introducing us to these.
heres a pic of the boost guge.

few questions for you bob.
will they fit in the autometer a-pillar pod?
where are you going to mount the control unit?
i dont have any experience with guages, do they come with good instructions?

thanks for the info
joe
