Where to run amp power?!? - Help...

I'm trying to run my amp power wire - has anybody found a good spot on the passenger side firewall?

Thanks.

Talking

No. Run it over to the drivers side and run it thru the rubber diaphram and then back over to the pass side to the terminal on the firewall. Its the easiest place to get thru.

I don't know how expensive of a wire you are using, but the shortest distance would just be straight back from the battery, down the passenger side. No use wasting another 5 feet of wire?Just drill a hole...takes 2 seconds.

Plus if you are running RCA's you want to run them completely away from any power wire. Just run the turn on lead and RCA's down the drivers side, and the power wire down the passenger side

Madhouse-
I used 4 gague wire for my setup and ran it from the battery, along the top back of the firewall (there's a group of "factory" wires with some kind of round, screw-in clips holding them up...use those clips to hold your wire away from the intake and sc). It's a pain, but if you dig around for a minute you'll find that grommet that Noel was talking about...fische (sp?) tape makes it much easier to get your wire through.

Pull off the door sill on the passenger side. There are some pre-drilled holes with rubber plugs just the right size. Run the cable down the wheel well and up through the hole (with a grommet). Then run the cable under the carpet if you're putting the amp under the seat or continue under the sill to the back. This really is the shortest distance and no holes to drill.

if you use any drilled holes, make sure you us a rubber gromet so that the power wire wont short by getting cut up on a metal edge

Like Mark_2kL says...

Then I brought the wire up through the hole in the carpet where the bracket for the jack is and put the amp under the seat.

Well I should be getting my mtx box next week so I went ahead and ran my wires.

I want to say THANKS to you guys for suggesting pulling up the passenger kick rails and running it through the factory hole and grommet it was VERY simple.
