Thumbs up Irwindale - Saturday ??

Anyone thinking about going out to Irwindale DragStrip on this Saturday? (24th)

It says Import on their website, but when you call the hotline it says "For all Street Legal Vehicles"

Part of a car-show I guess. Cost is $30 to race, which is a little pricey, but it may be some good fun.

Opens at Noon, racing starts at 2 ends at 10.

I think I may run out there and play around...

Anyone else?

-Dale

If my Vegas trip falls through, I will be there. Got to try out the L with the Factory Tech Shift Kit. I will know by tomorrow evening.

I need to test out a few things, so it's very possible I'll be there.

Even if no rain not going to waste my time and money until I get traction bars and better tires. Spoke to Julie at JDM today. They were supposed to receive the bars Wednesday, but did not, earliest looks like Monday, and then they have to modify and ship them. So its very unlikely I could get them on the truck by the 1st, and I still wouldn't have the Nittos. So I guess I am going to scrub the trip to Bakersfield. Dale, I did order the boost bypass kit today, and when I get it I guess I'm going to have to come by your house and take a look at yours, and get your advice on the install.

Woke up and all I saw was rain, and it's stilll raining now....so I stayed home and did homework

George, sorry to hear you won't make it. Wish you would reconsider, it should be fun. Looked at the weather report for that area, it says Sunny , temps High: 58 Low:37, very little chance of rain. As for your tire problems, check to see if the Nittos are out yet. I already told you this, but I'm almost 100% sure my tire place recommended me to order the Nitto 555R's.
And for your traction problem, not dissing JDM's product, but I figure if Jays traction bars will stand up to, and help out Sals truck while running an 11.20 ET @ 118 MPH, then they are good enough for my "slow" ET's (point being, you won't have to wait, and miss this event)
