3 ???'s guys

1) When did they put the led 3rd brake light in production on the l's? I have a 2000, which has the regular f150 light. Saw a truck they other day, same year with the led light, which he said came on the truck. Is this bs?? Any idea what this would run me to swap. Wait, i covered all three already, so i don't need a 2) , or a 3)

LED brake light started on 2001 L's. So far only on Lightnings. Cost...guessing around $100, but may be way off. I have seen them on Ebay a while back. Hope this helps.

I've seen 2001's with the old style third brake light too. Either a production glitch, or some old stock left over at the beginning of the '01 model run. Maybe some '01 owners with low production numbers could clear this up.

2001 was the first year of the LED 3rd brake light-they all have it

redlightspecial-
you probably saw a 99 or 00 w/01 tail lights and they didn't change the 3rd brake light yet.

01 and they are expensive. Easy to do plug and play mod. $150-$200 depending on how well your parts guy likes you.
