Is the tranny SUPPOSED to shift so hard?

I've been noticing this the last few days, since I've been getting on her a little harder........Tonight, while merging onto I-75, I was doing about 50+, I stepped on her, and she downshifted to 2nd.........as the grin began to appear on my face and my head began to get planted on the headrest behind me, I noticed the 2-3 shift was very rough...........at about 4800K.........I stayed on her a bit till the 3-4 shift at just over 4K RPM, and that one was rough also....

Is this normal............I've never had such rough shifts on an auto tranny in any other car....

Stock L owners......please confirm!

My stock '01 shifted firm until I chipped it. Now its a hard shift. Either tomorrow or Friday morning I plan on installing a shift kit and then lookout!

HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM

I'm starting to get worried........should I drive it harder to see if this continues to be the case????

If so, should I have 'em check the tranny out??

Give the computer time to adjust to your new enthusiasm.

You have a sticky accumulator control valve (the 321 valve), it may work itself free, may not, a new accumulator will correct this if you're planning on a shift kit, or you can get it replaced under warrenty.
