Question Bassani Headers--performance gain??

I talked to the previous owner of my L today. To my relief, the truck is untouched, never wrecked/damaged, etc. He did add Bassani headers and the K&N I already knew about. What kind of HP/performance increase, if any, will these headers give??
Thanks

That was good that you got an L that hadn't been abused.

I don't think the headers will net any more power.

From our experiances, there are no gains to be had from the headers. It does give it a nicers sound though. The restriction is in the exhaust valve/lift/duration.

OK, thanks. The sound is VERY nice, but power seemed about the same as other 99/00 L's I have driven.

yes, I am very relieved. It was always garaged. His wife drove it alot. The only thing changed was new tires on the rear. She hit a patch of nails and tore up the tires, so he put 2 new ones on the rear. I was more worried about being in a wreck or damaged somehow. But it sounds like it was well cared for. Oil changes every 3k miles. They needed a bigger vehicle, so they traded it in on an 01 Expedition when the rebates and 0% financing started.

Yeah, the 'drove over some nails' story is the one I give my wife when I have to replace the rubber I've burned off...
