Anyone had good luck with a shop down here installing mufflers on their lightning? I was going to have the 12468 Magnaflow installed and as I went to a few shops....most didn't know what a Lightning was and didn't believe the exhaust came out the side from the factory. I'd like to deal with someone that has done good work already! Thanks for any info and happy turkey day...

There is a guy in Opa Locka that a few of the Tower shop guys use.He has a lot of Lightning exhaust experience and he is one **** (picky) welder. I know he's right off 135th st and 19th Ave. If someone else knows his phone # or shop name, please list it.Otherwise I'll get it for you within the next couple of days.If your down by the Tower shops on Friday, any of the Lightning crowd knows this guy.( P.S. he's also very reasonable)

 

Prospect muffler, The owners name is Billy, he did one for me today and it looks and sounds awesome, the are on prospect road in ft.laud

Finally!!! The South Florida guys appear as if out of thin air......I've only been looking for you guys for 3 months now!!!

I'm hoping to head out to Tower Shops on Friday 11/30...any of you guys ever there? Looking forward to meet up with some fellow L-owners here in South FLA....

BTW, I saw a white L with checkered flag rear window on Powerline Rd, just S/O Commercial Blvd yesterday in Ft Lauderdale......was that you TZ Rider?? That's near Prospect RD...

anyways, glad to find some of you, and glad to get this information for when I'm ready to change exhausts.

Yes......I think there are a ton of L owners down here. Although I see alot of the "wannabe" L's with the ricer lights and ground effects (especially in the Homestead area). I can't help but let those guys hear the whine of a real Lightning...hehehe (no offense to them!)

I am going to try and get some more info from people at the tower shops on this Friday.....and maybe listen to how some of the different exhausts sound.

 

Cool.......We gotta talk before NEXT Friday the 30th.......I see you're registered in Pemb. Pines......my GF lives there.......off Pines Blvd and 186th (Chapel Trail)...........Maybe we'll meet up there on the 30th and bug people together!!

Ricekicker........that also sounds like a good plan. There are WAAYYY too many kids driving around in lowered 96' Integras with a big muffler thinking they can whoop everybody. Those V-SLOPS have to go!!! ha!!!
(BTW...my 86' NA 300zx doesn't qualify as a ricer to me...it's too old, big and heavy--- and gets beaten by everything!)

 

MIAMI Muffler down South Close to Cutler Ridge.
They've been building exhaust for Race Cars for YEARS. A bunch of the racers in Pro-5 and Street Outlaw and Renegade use them.
He's done exhaust on both my L's. They even advertise on Muscle Mustangs as VRS Exhaust.
