Newbie Lightning Question

Hello all,

I bought a new Lightning two weeks ago and love it. One question, if I might ask: Do new 2001 Lightnings come with insulation under the hood? Mine does not have it. Every car or truck that I've bought over the years has had an insulation blanket underneath the hood except for this one.

Thanks,

Chikenears

No insulation...........

the factory and SVT determined that the s/c would suck it all off

No insulation here either. The hood is made of aluminum so no big deal there. If you didnt like the S/C whine, you could order one from an Expedition though.....

Or better yet...

If you don't like the S/C whine, you could always sell your L and BUY and Expy!!!

Frank, you're kidding right? Hood aluminum? No you're not, I just went out and gave it the magnet test. I had no idea it was aluminum, way cool!! You would think that the dealer would have pointed that out. I bet they didn't even know.

No problem with the Supercharger whine, I love to hear that.

NOSTROMO,

I take that as a welcome. Thanks. I see that you're from Queens NY. I hope the plane crash didn't affect you or your family directly. You guys have had enough problems already.
