Pic of Ground Force drop

I just had the Ground Force(FRPP) drop kit installed. It's supposed to be a 1" front/2" back drop. It looks like more of a 1.5" or 2" drop in the front, which I like.

Are the 2001's higher than the 99/00's because the back still looks really high on that. I don't think mine is that high on my stock 99 suspension?

I know what you mean, I thought it would drop more. It's the Ground Force kit, I think it's just shackles. I didn't take a good look at the kit, my friend installed it while I was at work.

Just measure the wheel lip opening in and back and then we can compare which is higher or lower... Jeff

99svtlightning,

Truck looks sweet with that dark tint and all clean.

Is JL's ram air tube going to be rubbin your tire????

Are you going to cecil tonight??

I'm going, will get there early like five thirty, so I can get my ET's on. Don't like driving to track with them on.

Did you sell that throttle body?? If not why don't you bring it, you said we could try it on my truck, see if I like it.

Also the Ground Force kit has 2 heights that the rear shackles can be adjusted too. The top hole will give you maximun lowering.

Carl from Co. 6,

Thanks. The ram air shouldn't rub, I'll tuck it tight.

I'll bring the throttle body, don't forget some tools. I think they are 8 and 10mm nuts, bring deep well. If you don't have them call me at 302-354-3136 and I'll grab some tools. See you there.

If you use the maximum drop in the rear does it level the truck out? Does the other hole leave a stock looking front to back rake?

I'm getting ready to order the parts (FRPP M3000-L), but was curious about that.

Any bumpsteer issues?

With the top hole on the shackle(maximum) the back is 1" higher that the front. With the lower hole on the shackle the back is still lower than stock. I have not had a bumpster at all. You can get that same exact kit from truck performance for 127. Hope this helps. Jeff

I just installed that kit also. I posted some before and after pics, including measurements before and after so you can see the actual drop. The subject is FRPP lowering kit pics and measurements.

Hi Jeff. Yes, that clarifies it quite a bit--thanks!
