"Pam" Baking spray on front bumper?
"Pam" Baking spray on front bumper?
Well, I've had my White L for 3 whole days, and the freeking bugs are already starting to get on my nerves!!!!
A friend of mine with a white Explorer, told me he sprayed Pam on his front bumper when going on extended trips, and he said that works great..........the bugs will come right off.......
Anyone ever try this??? If not, you think it'll hurt the paint?

I use to do that to my cars when I lived in Tampa, damn Love Bugs where bad, bad, bad in the 80's. Now I just use this. Go to www.fordcollection.com price is $119.00 part #S10159
Several years ago I had a body color front bumper repainted due to road nicks and bug hits.
I asked the painter how to avoid them in the future.
His reccommendation was PAM or even just ArmorAll.
I tried both on long trips, 8 hours, 500 miles, several times.
They both work well in my experience with one caution.
If you use the PAM, you must get it off as soon as you can or it "sets up" and becomes difficult to clean.
No damage, just a little hard to get off.
For ease of clean up, the ArmorAll seemed to work better, and was equally effective.

Use burnout guard

That could be ugly!!!
We use that stuff at work to peel paint off of electric motors and pump/gearbox housings.
