Does anyone know what date SVT started prodution of the 2001 Lightnings and when they ended?

I called SVT again yesterday, they said the 2002 Lightnings went into production last Thursday, November 8th.

I asked when they would be on dealer floors, he told me in 4-6 weeks, I then asked if that was just at a few dealers, he told me no, that was cross country.

 

Also...When did the first person get their 2001 Lightning - what date...Thanks, I am trying to figure out when I will get mine

 

I don't think that the information you have is accurate. I bought (put a down payment) on a 2002 red lightning and they are not due into dealers until well after February (My birthday!). Also, the dates between the 2001 production and the 02 production wont necessarily coincide. I am so excited to finally get my...hopefully it will be soon becuase I'M GETTIN KINDA ANCY!!!!!!

 

I got a call from a local dealer Monday and they told me that they were going to get a Blue, Silver, 2Red and 2Black 2002 in by mid December. He is going to call me when they arrive cause I did not believe him either.

OneRedTXBolt on this web site has #15 of the 2001 trucks and he got his in February. I think he initially was told that he would have it by December, and that didn't happen. You can keep your hopes up, but I wouldn't count on seeing the first one before January at the earliest.

 

Well...If SVT started production in January of the 2001's, and they started 2002's in November, I think that a few people will start getting them in December.

I did call SVT - you can call them for yourself, the number is 1-800-367-3788. The told me 4-6 weeks cross-country...

imo, people will start getting them in december, but more widely spread in January, and February. Last year they did not start production on till later...
