Exclamation chiming in

The "seat belt" & "door ajar" alarms are making me crazy on my new Lightning. In the Cobra, I disabled this by cutting the appropriate wire, information I got from a fellow Mustanger on the Internet...

Anybody know how to eliminate the 2 chimes above ???

They're not features, they're bugs !

TIA,

They're also programable. Check your Owner's Manual.

ok, I found the seat belt disable, thanks... Now, I think the other one is 'key in ignition' (while door is ajar)...

Any ideas?

What'd he say?????

How did you do the seat-belt thing? That is the one where it starts binging after a few minutes if the seatbelt isn't together & keeps doing it until your buckled? That drives me crazy too. PLease give instructions.

How about taking the key out of the ignition and closing the door. Might want to wear you seatbelt also.

Cool Never...

...rely on a mechanical safety. My request to disable the key in ignition (with door on) chime, is for when I'm outside washing, drying or otherwise working on my (now) Truck. That's it. I just get annoyed at the chime.

I always wear a seat belt, even if I'm "only going around the block".

BB - I found the instructions to disable the seat belt minder on p. 118 of the owner's manual.

Thanks guys!
