Doug or Webmaster???

Gentlemen -

You have seen fit to ban me from posting because of a "rules violation" I assume regarding my bassani group purchase thread.

there are a few facts here somebody is not seeing???

1. I am not a vendor
2. I do not have any affiliation with any vendor
3. The purpose of the thread was to gauge intrest to show the vendors that there is enough intrest in a gp.

Please go back and read the thread. i am not selling anything!!!!!
I would like my original account re-instated.

Thanks,

Bob#1 aka bob# 2

Thumbs down

I still have no response from anyone.

I guess they have no deisre for me to participate on this board anymore. The thing that pisses me off most is that I did not get any notification of this action, just slam bam go "F" yourself. It looks as though steve had mis-understood my thread

I am really disappointed...

l8r,

Bob

compromise?

Webmaster,

Would it be breaking the rules if someone made a post on the Lightning board with a link / explanation to a GP on the GP forum? The reason I ask is that I (and probably many people here) never check any other forums than the Lightning forum. It looks like there has only been ONE thread on the GP forum in the past 100 days! I'm just trying to find a compromise that doesnt clutter up the Lightning board with posts about GPs, just one post with a link to the GP forum thread.

I can understand the classifieds section, and wanting people to post that info only in the classifieds forum, because if I am looking to purchase something, I can just browse the classifieds for what I want, since I am already looking for whatever it is. The GP, on the other hand, people may not be looking for specifically, but will want to get in on a GP because of the low price. I know, it sounds ****, but somehow it seems like a reasonable request Just food for thought.

I'd like to see Bob (#1) back on the boards, at least if this was his first incident with the GP rules. I don't know the history of it, so I'll leave that to you... just my .02

Doug is here or on his way to Jersey, so it must have been the webmaster

I didn't see anything wrong with the post in question, they should have just moved it to the group purchase forum. Banning you like that without any warning to me just seemed wrong.

Just adding my 2 cents

Lightbulb curious

Bob,

Does your old handle and password no longer work or is you beef over the group purchase thread being moved/deleted?

Also, creating a thread at 10pm demanding an immediate answer then pouting about it just after midnite is a little much. Don't ya think? Contrary to popular belief, both Webmaster and Doug HAVE LIVES! Lighten up a little.

That does blow IMHO Bob. You WERE NOT selling anything. I wonder why I did not get the boot when I told everyone about the Truck Performance deal for the FRPP lowering kit. Makes you wonder what's going on in this world... It's NO FAIR.. Jeff

Thanks Speedin Bob.

To post a message and send me an email after 11pm, then post a message at 1am saying you never got a response and that you were disappointed, well that tells me the exactly the kind of personality that I am dealing with.

Posting links to Group Purchases on other sites is, and always has been allowed here.

Organization of any Group Purchase on these forums IS ALLOWED if the rules are followed.

Bob Tompkins (who has been here less than two months) did not follow ANY of the rules, did not contact me, did not contact Roger. I would be willing to bet that he never even READ the rules prior to posting. The threads were deleted, as the rules say they would be. No exceptions.

People get so upset and start saying that Doug and I are wrong when we enforce the rules. REALITY CHECK...there are rules here and people that intentionally break them are in the wrong. For those that are complaining about our actions, perhaps F150online is not the site you should be frequenting.

ANd for those that want to simply take Bob Tompkins word as gospel and use it as a chance to malign me, notice that his orginal account title was and is "Suspended For Rules Violations," not banned. As is policy in these cases, the account is suspended until the violator contacts us to work it out. You can see how this particular user chose to work it out.

Pity poor Bob, Steve is so evil. Here are the Group Purchase Rules... https://www.f150online.com/forums/sh...threadid=48634 ... all it takes is a couple of emails to coordinate one...not a huge challenge. Of course, they would need to be read in order to be followed.

This thread is closed, as is Bob account #2 until he decides that he wants to follow the rules...which are in place for a reason.

Steve
