Harmonic Balancer?

My blower was making a weird noise that was starting to get to me. I was told it could be the belt. Today I pulled off the lower blower pulley and found my harmonic balancer was very loose. The boltholes that hold the balancer onto the crank have been rounded. My truck is going into the dealer for the IC fix and some tranny work, should I ask about getting a new harmonic balancer? Are the holes normally rounded like mine are?

Here are some pics

Thanks for any input.

John

That's not the harmonic balancer, that's the 99-00 style blower pulley adapter that BOLTS to the balancer. That is a common problem on the 99-00s, which is why Ford actually cast it as part of the balancer for 01. That part can be purchased seperately so Ford could replace it for you. Or you could just order up one of our PSP lower pulleys which does away with that whole mess .
