my dyno results

first off here is what I have
2000 L
3.73 gearing
1.5 pound JDM upper pulley
4 pound JL lower pulley
90 mas
filter kit
chip
line valve mod

14,000 miles on truck
running mobil 1

horsepower at rear wheels 376 and some change ( don't have my sheet with me)
Torque at the rear wheels 465

i would have thought that i would get more then this....the people who run the dyno, custom burn chips, but haven't done any on lightnings yet..they said according to my a.f.r. they think there is more horsepower to be found with my chip...it is burning too rich. They had to put seven people in the back of the truck because on my first run the truck went up in smoke on the rollers . The only think i don't understand is they did all the pulls in second gear. I thought they would do them in 3rd. They said my crank numbers were the following
horsepower 496
torque 619

when i run home for lunch i will get my sheets and make sure the rear wheel #'s i post are correct....if they are off they are only off by a couple horsepower.

My best time with this combo on f1's so far is a 12.74..... i am very dissapointed...

any thoughts.

Brandon

the #'s are inaccurate as the gear ratio they pulled you in is not 1 to 1

you should have pulled 3rd gear starting around 66mph

dynoed in 3rd gear i can guarantee you they would be higher

Yep, it's true...
They dynoed your truck wrong. It sucks, I know...a dyno shop dynoed my truck in 2nd also (a waste of $75. ). They should have dynoed in 3rd. Your HP #'s are closer to 400rwhp, probably in the 390's. Well, that's my guess anyway.

when i had mine dynoed i stopped by some import shop in Columbus, OH,

i told them to do the pull in 3rd from about 70 up, they said, why not just do 2nd?

i explained to them it was inacurrate, they seemed clueless as to why, lol

Boostin01L-
I went to Atlantic Performance, just past Atlantic/Southside Blvd. It's an import shop (you must tell them to run the dyno in 3rd, trust me ), it's $75.00 for 3 pulls.

What color L do you have? About 5 or 6 of us L owners meet up for car shows a few Saturdays a month...e-mail me if you want info. I drive the red 2000, lowered, billet grille...and hopefully a 12 sec. timeslip wednesday night . Drop me a line...

LIGHTNINROD-
Yup, I run at Gainseville. Have your friend e-mail me if he wants to go to the track sometime. I'll be going to the track for the last test/tune of the year in a few weeks. I'm hoping for 12's in the Lightning, and 7's in the race car (hopefully all of the bugs are worked out). Anywho, if your bud shoots me an e-mail he can stop by my shop some time for a test drive.

We actually should have a track rental coming up, but G-ville keeps cancelling due to drag schools and pro testing for next year . I'm trying to get some L's together for a day of 1/4 mile fun, since I'll have the track anyways.
