Since your Intercooler is leaking you may have screwed up o2 sensors or plugs .... For peace of mind I would try some NOS Octane boost.. If the sound goes away you know you have bad gas...

When you get your Intercooler replaced make sure the o2 sensors and sparkpplugs are changed also... Even if you have to do them yourself..... You shouldnt have to do it yourself with antifreeze going thru the engine but who knows

Good luck

Doug

Do you hear it inside or outside of the truck? I"ve got a noise I can hear while inside the cab, seems to be coming from behind the radio. From what I've read on this and other boards, it's cavitation in the blower. Nothing to be concerned about.

My friend (T-Bone) had a loose stock lower pulley. It made a ticking noise at idle. Just had to have it tightened and the sound went away.

Chainsaw13 - does your noise sound like a vibratation?

I've got this weird noise coming from my engine compartment. It only happens when the truck is in drive or reverse and stopped (never in park). So I had my girlfriend put the truck in drive and hold down the break pedal, the vibration sounded like it was coming from the blower or in that area. Sound similar to yours? The noise goes away as soon as I hit the gas, or I just can't hear it over the engine. No clue though.
