I don't think so.............

but I should would give JL a call or email. Get one of his posts and click on his profile--if no one else posts back and confirms one way or the other. Just wait until you get his 'stuf' installed--you will be amazed!

yes

the 99 has a cux1 computer and the 2000 has a cux2 computer plus jl will be able to give you a more current up to date program that may be better overall for your truck

The short answer is maybe. The 99's use a CUX1 and the 2000's use a CUX2 processor. The situation clouds when you find out that some 99's that have returned for service have been flashed to CUX2 specs.

Is there an easy way to determine if that's been done? I'm not aware of any. Hopefully someone else can answer that part.

So, to answer your question, if your 99 EEC has been reflashed it should work ok.

other option

you could pull the computer and send it to a tuner and they can extract your stock program from the computer and then they will be able to tell ya which stock computer you have but most likly you have a cux1 program so you would need a reburn
