Houston Area Lightning Owners is headed out to our local 1/8th-mile track to run the last race of the season in our Internet Car Club Bash. We run against various other groups like Mustang clubs, F-body clubs, Buicks, etc. It's double points today and we're running a close second to the F-bodies. We've got a BUNCH of folks racing today, so we've got a real good chance of taking the trophy. Wish us luck !!!

 

Best wishes, and kisk their butts. How come your tracks are closeing so early? I can understand our tracks closing, it is kind of hard to race with a foot of snow on the track, but you guys should still have a while left.

 

Actually, Houston Raceway Park will only be closed for Christmas weekend although there won't be any bracket racing until next year some time. Just time trials.

I just got home. I went out the the first round against a 7 second (1/8mile) mustang, and Dad went out the third round from a red light. We ended up have 53 vehicals raceing for out club. We will have to wait a few days for the final points standing.

 

I won in the first round, but had to leave for a birthday party. Now we wait til the track posts the official point standings...

Don - the track's not closing. Our Car Club Bash season is done for the year. We'll be racing again in a new season in a few months.
