Just got a package from ford????
Cool!!! Its telling me about the intercooler problem with the Lightnings (only 9 months after my first replacement and 3 after my 2nd). It also has this nifty (cheap) little Lightning bottle/can holder to keep my beers; I mean cokes cold!!! I give Ford/SVT a two thumbs up for trying though. At least I can drink in style now! (If the Cheap A*S thing dosen't break).

Yeah, got my "recall" package too from Ford in the mail last Friday. I think my 1999 truck is #904.
What I do not understand is why did they use the silly cardboard cylinder to send the recall notice? Some people have mail slots in their doors and that cylinder will never fit in the mail slot unless the mailman steps on it.
In the recall notice, I notice the way they skirt around the recall issue, saying they just want to keep our trucks in peak performance condition at WOT.
They did not mention possible O2 sensor, spark plug and catalytic converter contamination, not too mention a blown engine if the intercooler leak is a catastrophic one.
