rough night last night
came home from work late last night and to my surprise my custom 2001 champions edition yamaha R1 was stolen. man if i ever find out who did it i'll kill em, all that money spent and for nothing. too much sentimental value to start over.
Very sorry to hear about your lost. I've seen pictures of your R1, nice looking bike. Hopefully the law will catch up with the thiefs.
I'm guessing that you don't have theft insurance? Up here (Manitoba, Canada) we can't even get theft insurance, or even fire or vandalism on a bike. Yet insurance (and registration) for a year on a 97 CBR 900 is about $1500.00!

no i have insurance its just that there is alot of man ours making that thing look pretty kind of was my baby.but you haven't seen a pic of it but i will post a couple tonight.
Sorry to hear about your loss. I also bought one of those Champ's R1s last year (#546 of 1000), and it's everyone's favorite. I always keep it nice and polished, since it's sort of a collector bike. I hope you find your bike (maybe someone is playing a dirty trick on you?). I'm always worried that mine will get stolen too. Did you have it chained down? It seems like no matter what we do, if a thief wants something bad enough, they'll do anything to take it. Really sucks.
YEAH i was in the process of chroming the frame as it was my show bike evrything but the frame and brakets were chrome. it just pi$$es me off that someone would steal something you put all that time, effort and money in.
D@mn man, sorry about that. I'm a biker, too, but I never had one taken from me like that. I hope you get it back in good shape...

Johnny,
Sorry to hear the bad news, I have over 30K into my Harley and it if ever got stolen I would have to open my safe and hunt the person down, and it would be the last thing they stole. I really hope you get it back, but reality is that it is gone forever so greive and then replace it with your next favorate bike. And maybe think about moving from the Boston area, very high theft rate.

Where in Peabody?
Fellow Lightning owner here in Peabody, where abouts do you live? Post a pic of the bike and i'll put the word out. I can put a missing person's photo up in my store if you'd like.
