Cool A very Special Thank You

As many of you know, our 7 year old red Doberman (Copper) just had surgery to remove 4 of his ribs that had a softball sized Ostiosarcoma ( aggressive bone cancer) on them that had suddenly appeared about 2 months ago. I reached out to the people here on F-150 for support and for helpful donations for the hosptial bill.

I want to extend a special thank you to all who have helped. The total bill after surgery came to just shy of $4000. So far we have collected $2625 in donations. I have no idea if there are more on the way, but even if this is the final number, it's such a help to us.

I'd like to take a break from the usual Lightning related bickering to point out a simple fact. There are great people in this world. When you look at things in the rest of the world, the negative things that go on in the Lightning community are really not even worth the effort put into them. Some people say "can't we all just get along?". Let me tell you, we DO all get along. We all get along when it really counts. I am not going to name names of who gave donations, but let me say this-- I recieved donations from not only some of my customers, but also one of my competitors, a few JDM customers who'd I thought wouldn't pee on me if I was on fire, and even from a few people here on the boards that I don't even know. Yes, I'd say that in the real world, we do all get along.

Thanks to all, and Copper is doing great so far!!

Sal,
Glad to hear the dog is better. Crosley the Wonder Dog (a Golden-dachhound mix, would ya believe) says I shuld let you take $100 of your last invoice from me, so if you haven't sent it yet, credit yourself a donation.
Good luck,

G

and

Crosley

He is my other eyes that can see above the clouds; my other ears that hear above the winds. He is the part of me that can reach out into the sea. He has told me a thousand times over that I am his reason for being; by the way he rests against my leg; by the way he thumps his tail at my smallest smile; by the way he shows his hurt when I leave without taking him. (I think it makes him sick with worry when he is not along to care for me.) When I am wrong, he is delighted to forgive. When I am angry, he clowns to make me smile. When I am happy, he is joy unbounded. When I am a fool, he ignores it. When I succeed, he brags. Without him, I am only another man. With him, I am all-powerful. He is loyalty itself. He has taught me the meaning of devotion. With him, I know a secret comfort and a private peace. He has brought me understanding where before I was ignorant. His head on my knee can heal my human hurts. His presence by my side is protection against my fears of dark and unknown things. He has promised to wait for me... whenever... wherever - in case I need him. And I expect I will - as I always have. He is just my dog." - Gene Hill
