NAPA Ceramix = Raybestos.

My mechanic gave me a tidbit of info. In case anyone has a hookup with Rebestos and was looking for the NAPA Cermaix line of breaks, they are made by Rebestos. They are the "QuietStop" series:

Dan,

I thought about going with the ceramic brakes, but a friend of mine had them on his truck and when he finally replaced the pads, he had to replace the ROTORS too!!!

I will wash off brake dust eveyday as long as my rotors keep their life.

Wierd...The other guys here seem to be having good luck with them so far? (I think theres about 10 guys here atleast that have them).

I imagine though, with my autocrossing, that my rotors will be going soon eventualy... I'm either going to move to Brembo's or get a pair of Ruslow's rotors... Thanks for the info...

Heh, its also funny to mention, but I'm a heavy braker...every time I've gotten my "brakes" fixed, its always been pads AND rotors...lol... I don't think I've ever replaced just pads.

Wink

I have them on the front and have had no problems with them, and they do cut down on the brake dust.

I can't tell if they grip any better or worse, so I'd say about the same. If interested the part #s are:

front...cmx-7576
rear....cmx-7584

I paid 65.00 for the fronts and 52.00 for the rears.
