Hot tips and Cool trick on:

Swaybars.

I'm going with Marks 1/2 kit. Thinking the Hotchkis(sp?) front and rear bars would round out the handling mods.

Not looking to be slammed. Just stance and stability.

Thoughts on this setup?

If your talking about Mark@ lightning force, I know he wouldn't sell any bad products. Everything he sells is very good quality.

I don't have his kit but I have Belltech rear shackles, and hotchkis one inch lowering coil springs. I love the look, and couldn't be happier with the ride.

Hope that helps
Don

It works great. Big improvement over stock. It is stiffer than stock but not abusive. Have about 3k miles on my setup and like it a lot. The Hotchkis is top quality and the fit and finish is excellent. I bought mine directly from Hotchkis and paid much more for mine than Mark is charging. Wish he had them when I did mine. Do a search under Hotchkis install. I did a write up and pics too.

I'm definitely not a suspension or handling expert by any means, but I'd be inclined to believe that you'd see a more noticable increase in handling performance by leaving your already pretty beefy stock sway bars in place, and instead spending your money on urethane bushings like the ones that were brought up a few months ago (made by Energy maybe?).

Just a thought.

Later...

Do both the bars and bushings. I did. Big difference. The bushings are cheap (Prothane) but a real bear to install.

So, Mark's 1/2 setup from LightningForce, the front and rear sway bars from Hotchkis with new bushings and I'm good to go.

Does this call for a new alignment?

Any putzing with the drive shaft?

The hotchkis sway bars are far superior than the stock bars. They're larger in diameter, lighter, and hollow, which allows them to react alot quicker than the stock solid core bars...

You want the Hotchkis springs and sway bars from Mark and Prothane bushings. If your truck is a 99-00 you will want the 01 shocks. No drive line mods needed. Cam-bolt kits for the front end alignment (you will need and alignment). Might as well do "Herb's" washers while you are at it. Prevent the inevitible front end "clunk".
