BON reads F150online.com - reports as news

I was just reading this:

http://www.bonforums.com/recalls/rec...ntercooler.htm

And was wondering...what took so long? He seems to get good info from other places, but seems like he got scooped big time on this one.

Plus, for 1999 and 2000, only 8400 recall notices? Is that how many vehicles are left? Hrmmm.

Comments, anyone?

Well I guess thats a good thing for us 99/00 owners.

4000+4966= 8966 - 8400 = 566 L's totalled. DAMN!
Maybe some are just in other countries and they don't count for recalls.

Interesting they may consider the Lincoln Commitment for Lightnings.

Not a bad idea. However, how may would entrust Cooter, Gomer, Goober, Cletus, or equivilent porter to "Pick up the customer's vehicle (at a location of their preference such as home or place of business) and return after repair."

I can see it now.......

"Hello Mr L, I'm here to pickup your Lightning and brought you this loaner."

"Thank you very much Forest. Now be sure to neither open the valve on the blue bottle in the bed nor push the red button on the dash. Also, do NOT drive over the posted speed limit or spin the tires."

Yes sir, thank you sir, I'll be careful sir...

Later....

Mr. L, this is Rusty Junebug, General Manager of Cooter Ford, would it be OK if I came to get you? There seems to have been a small problem...
