spark plugs

what ever happend with those denso plugs.
what kind of plugs are best for this truck .time to
put a new set in. thanks people

When they did the intercooler replacement they also did the plugs. They would've used the same ones that came with the truck, but I brought 8 NGK TR-6's with me and had them use those. I think there's a different one that the guys running nitrous are using.

Actually, the TR-6s are the best for nitrous.

JDM is running the TR-5s in his '01 when he ran his 11.83 at the Fords@E-Town event last month. No nitrous of course!!!

My stock one are fine--so far(see sig.). Plan to try NGKs when hard-starting starts, mpg drops, or mis-firing(slower times) begins.

do a search on those denso's for exact info, but the somebody on here tried them and dynoed them out, said they only saw a 1-2hp increase. Which means there is nothing special about them to warrent their cost when NGK's or others are so much cheaper.

I have a set of NGK tr5's that I'm gonna install one day.

That hp increase most likely came from a different day on the dyno and cooler motor.

Or if the older plugs weren't in the greatest shape it could have been restored power.
