Help!!!

I have a problem with my hard cover on my L. I'm not sure of the manufactorer of the hard top as I bought my L used. It's always been a little tricky to open and I had planned on getting it realigned. Well, I put the key in it earlier to open it and as I tried to push the keyhole button to pop it open..it wouldnt. It was like the button was slightly jammed. So after getting more than slightly frustrated..I got a little rubber mallet to tap the button to try to unstick it or whatever. Well..when I did that..I heard something fall into the bed of the truck, now the thing wont open period. I'm thinking I knocked off the locking bolt, mechanism or something on the inside. And of course, the tailgate wont open w/o the cover being opened...so am I gonna be able to take out the bolts/pins that are on the bedcover behind the back glass and be able to get this sucker off to get it fixed, realigned, etc??

Tell us what your cover looks like. Does it have one or two locks on it, does it have a little spoiler on the back, does it hace a hump in the middle, does it sit flush on the bed rails, or wrap around the rails.

There are a lot of covers that are out there, this will help us figure out which one you have. Also if you have a pic of it post it here, and then we can tell you which one you have.

Then we can tell you what to do. Once we can figure out which one you have, you may want to order a new lock, and drill the old lock out.
