The best stuff there is for the Lightning's is made by the big 3 Lightning Tuners; PSP (Sal), JLP (Johnny), and JDM (Jim).

Gears: Since you have a 99, your truck came with 3.55's. While the 3.55's is a nice gear, 3.73's are a great street/strip gear. 4.10's are also nice, but not as nice on the street.

Pulleys: Run which ever pulley you want to use. PSP makes a cageless 2Lb and 4Lb pulley. JLP makes a cageless 2Lbs, 3Lb, 4Lb, and now a 5Lb pulley. JDM makes a caged 2Lb and 4Lb pulley.

Chips: Take your pick of the big 3. They all are good and they all will yeild about the same gain.

Filter: Again, take your pick of big 3. They all make nice kits and let the S/C breath.

C/F/P with a set of slicks will get you into the 12's on a good day with stock gears.

go up and make a right and hit the "search" button.

It's all a matter of personal preference when it comes to brand names.

1. Get the biggest pulley (or two) that you can find.

2. Order a PSP/Factory Tech valve body (I don't care for just the line mod valve). lots may disagree

3. Go ahead and order an open element filter (not because it'll make you faster, but because it just sounds sooooo sweet).

4. Almost forgot this one, should have been first, order a chip.

5. Get some ET streets if you want to race.

6. Order up a powercooler.

7. Get to the nearest track and have fun.

check my sig for my personal preference.

hope this helps, good luck and have a blast.

later,
chris haynie

I second LightningForce Performance. You can get all of the mods there at a great price, if not the best, and first class service all the way.
