On Wednesday a lady at work was opening some mail and saw some white powder in the envelope. She immediately called our emergency response team and was rushed to the hospital for testing.

The letter was from Germany and was sent away to be analyzed and turned out what she saw was tiny paper fragments from the invoice inside. The letter was from a offsite machine vendor from Germany and was sending in the invoice for work performed a month earlier.

The entire plant was shut down for 8 hours and cleaned. When I came in today the one portion of the plant was still sealed off even though they knew it was a false alarm.

It just goes to show you that they are not playing around with this mess. The FBI and CDC showed up in two and half minutes!!!

Everything is ok, and no ANTHRAX was found.

 

hate those bastards. lets hope your guys get them soon.

 

We had 3 scares at my job. The first they closed 1 of the buildings down, the 2nd they closed another building down, the 3rd was in my building and they didn't even tell us. Talk about a new way to downsize a company.

Glad to here everyone is OK and it was a false alarm.

I was traveling thru Houston Hobby airport a couple of weeks ago and they had a "suspicious powder" found and shut down the airport. Turned out to be a false alarm...kindof. Someones cocaine stash had broke open .

 

That is some scary chit!!!!

I really hope they catch these a$$holes and give them the maximum penalty!!!

This is kinda good for the rent-a-cops at work(security company), this is the most action they have seen in years!!!
