question

hey guys, i dont have a lightning but i do have a question that you guys might be able to answer. im installing an autometer electric fuel pressure gauge in my truck, and i was wondering where exactly did you guys (those of you that have installed this gauge in your truck) connect the wire that is supposed to go to the ignition switch? a friend told me i might be able to connect it to the wire that feeds electricity to the radio. how do you guys have it set up? thanks for any info!

one more thing, guys...
my buddy told me tha the sender attaches to the schrader valve, but the valve on my truck has the threads outside, and so does the sender. i did a search and someone said that you need an adapter with one male and one female end, but that doesnt make sense to me. wouldnt you need one with 2 female ends to make it work, since both threads are on the outside? thanks for the help, i really appreciate it!!!

you need a male/male adapter. the part is available from autometer. you will need to remove the little extension containing your scrader valve entirely leaving only your fuel rail with a hole in it, then you screw in your new adapter and then screw the sending unit on top. good luck. I should note that I haven't put one on an L, but on plenty of stangs, I'm sure it's the same deal, but somebody else may want to chime in and verify this for him.

hope this helps.

later,
chris
