New L Wheels

I just got my L wheels mounted and balanced today. They look awesome. I had Falken 285/60/18's put on them and they rub a lil at full lock, any ideas on what it is rubbing, I really haven't had a chance to look at them in daylight. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Is your truck lowered any? When does the "rub" occur?

Yeah, I'll be sure to post some pics ASAP, I love the look. No, I haven't lowered it, YET. I will be lowering it around Christmas time, if possible. Will this rubbing increase if I lower it? The rubbing happens when I am turned at full lock, I am thinking maybe it's because the tire is so tall AND wide, , maybe the effect of both cause this. And maybe because it is a 2wd, not sure. Thanks for the replies guys.

Thanks Ringmaster for the reply, I appreciate it, I was a lil worried, cause my mom was bitchin at me, sayin they won't fit, they're too big, and I am sure as he!! not tellin her bout this. Also, do you think the rubbin would be worse if I were to lower it say, 3 in front, 4 in rear, or maybe 2 in front instead of 3? Thanks again.

id say 2" would be enough in the front. thats what im lowering mine to 2" in front and 4" in back to level it out. somebody on here mentioned before about some kind of stoppers so the wheels dont turn all the way sure sure about of them i just dont turn all the way if i dont have to. you should be fine.

I think you are having the same problem I did? My rim was rubbing the wheels were completely turned.. I t was the bolt for the brake line. this can be taken off or can be relocated very easily..Hope that helps....

They look pretty good on a regular F-150. Are the tires or wheels rubbing? The best way to see for sure is have a buddy crank the wheel lock to lock and check exactly where and what you are contacting.

I have the same tires on my lightning rims too. After i dropped my truck i decided to get lower profile tires but these will do for now. They rub on the sway bar up front. After i had mine put on and i went under my truck to do an oil change i saw the mark on the sway bar and on the tire, oh well.
