may have IC leak on '01
Well, today was bad news, good news, then bad news from my Dad about his truck.
My dad was talking to his friend Dave who has a L and works on L's and GN's. Well, Dave wanted to see how my Dad's truck ran, so they took it out and he thought it felt weak. So Dave hooked up a boost gauge, and they went out and ran it hard. Sure enough, only 6.5psi. Bad news.
Well, Dave was able to make some adjustments, and after several runs, they finally were getting almost 10psi. My Dad said the truck feels much stronger when in boost. Thats a lot better. Good News.
Well, in the middle of all these shannagin's, they both noticed that the IC fluid has dropped about 1/2" from where it was last week. This is a problem. The truck has hardly ever been at WOT (except today), and only has just over 3000 miles, and the fluid is dropping already. Has any body else had problem with the IC on the '01's?
My father was just starting to put bolt on's to this thing (after months of trying to convnce him they wouldn't hurt anything,) and now this happens. Well, the truck is going into the shop Thursday to have the drivers side seat fixed. You know, the part where the bar comes through. That thing was coming through after 1500 miles, what junk. So, I guess we'll see what Ford says about the IC and I'll update you when the time comes.
