Just blew out a spark plug on Pass side and broke the coil. What all does the dealer need to change ? 2000 with 27K miles Thanks.

 

This happened to me about a month ago (second one back on the passenger side), and they replaced the whole cylinder head and broken coil. I had my Intercooler replaced (again) at the same time. I was out of factory warranty, but have the 100k extended warranty, so it only cost me the $50 deductible, which is cheap enough to not bitch about.

Do a search on this (look in the Lightning Forum for keywords "spark plug", "cylinder head" etc) and you'll find more information on this subject (from many different people) than I bet you're willing to read up on.

FYI- it took them just shy of two weeks total between the time I dropped it of (on the back of a tow truck) to the time I picked it up (diagnose problem, order parts, deliver parts, fix problem etc).
