FRPP 2" Drop Kit- Help!

I've called several Dearborn area Ford dealers this morning trying to order the complete 2" drop kit for my '01. No one seems to know what the hell I'm talking about. I've been using the part number M-3000-L that I got by searching this site and following various links contained in the posts.

Does anyone know if this is the right number? Does anyone have any other numbers or information I can give the parts people to help them find it? This is turning into a giant pain in the @ss!

Please help! I'd love to get a hold of one of these kits ASAP. Thanks.

I don't think Ford is offering it yet. Any Key Auto Parts dealer should be able to order it. I called the manufacturer of the system and they gave me a number. Do a search and someone posted the name of the manufacturer, I thinkn it's ground force or something.

That is the correct part #, I got mine thru Tommie Vaughn a dealership in Houston. They are also the ones that told me about this kit, but it is made by Ground Force, should run you about 150.00 or so.

Thanks LightningJMP

It was your original post that I got the part number from. Called 4 dealers around Dearborn, and then even resorted to calling a couple back at home base in Canada. No luck with any of them. I then called Ground Force and verified the Ford number. M-3000-L, just like I knew it would be.

One dealer (no names) tried to sell me the 2/4" kit for the regular F-150. He was 'sure' it was the right kit- even though it had a different part number. Sorry, no sale.

I got the Ground Force part number and have tracked down the 'non-Ford' version of the kit. I really want to buy it from a Ford dealer and have it installed at a Ford dealer (I know less hassle to do it myself), just in case they want to make a big deal about it warranty wise.

Finally found a dealer that can order the kit for me. It's back ordered until Nov. 14, but at least I'll get it eventually. Thanks for the help guys.
