Magnaflow Muffler

I am going to change the exhaust on my 01 Lightning and was wondering how many of you are using the Magnaflow muffler, and what kind of sound does it produce?

Thanks,

Marc,

Is there any hardware needed other than the muffler?

If you are changing it, yes, if a muffler place is, no. The pipes from the muffler to the tips is part of the muffler and new ones have to be mandrel bent. Any decent muffler shop can do it.

like 4D said, if you have it done at a muffler shop its a piece of
cake.

Thumbs up Sweet Sound

I went with my son when he had his L done and it ended up being just a little louder and deeper. (Go with the staniless steel) I like it and it doesnt drown out the music. We did notice a bad smell a couple of days but that went away.

Thumbs up

About $85 for a 12468 Magnaflow, not s/s and then the shop charges to install and make new tail pipes, for another $100. It has a good deep sound and it was worth it to me.---Jim

I was near your area just a couple weeks ago when I took it to a car show in Bowling Green.
