How long did it take?
Silver-Bolt: Those guys were excellent! Definately recommended.
My whole extended family up here takes their Ford vehicles there.
I stripped the truck down except for the suspension. It was 4-hours off, but only 2-hours back on. I guess these things get faster with practice, and I used power tools wherever I could.
No go on the '01, eh?

I took it to Wayne Ford in the end...
They are a Ford "Quality Care" dealer. They had alot of cars in that are getting work (must have been 20-25 work orders in front of me when I dropped mine off), so I don't know if they still just havn't started it yet (and hence, the its not ready).
They do have a specific technician that is going to work on it, and the service writer then wrote up my work papers knew exactly what the recall was and what it was for (he even knew the recall number without looking it up). So that left me hopeful.
I just miss my beastie...I will call again today and find out whats up. With how busy this dealer is (they're one of the biggest in our area), I doubt they would get it done in less then a day.
This dealership is loved by Ford because they *buy* every car on their lot up front (no holdbacks)... and they're great at moving their vehicles out! Their salesman are like some you've never seen.
heheh...

Talked to the dealership today, the truck is finished except for the crusie control lights. They had to order new switches which will not arrive until tomorrow morning, so I can pick it up tomorrow evening.
I also got a breakdown of how the fixing went:
I dropped it off on Tuesday. They didn't look at it at all that day.
On Wednesday, they brought it into the shop in the afternoon did the blower swap. Thats all that day.
On Thursday the fabric guy (he's only in on Thursdays) fixed the seat, and then they did the wiper motor recall and touched up my door crack. They took the cruise control switches off and couldn't get any on the same day.
Tomorrow: The truck will be done in the morning, but I'll be at work, so I pick it up at 5...

Got it today (only took three days) got IC upgrade and replaced entire rear window. Work looks very clean, boost actuator set properly etc. Now I have to put all the "goodies" back on to see how it really works. Service writer was excellent (Kim at Al Packer East).
The beastie's home.
*cheer cheer cheer*
Other then just taking 4 days, everything was great. The truck has no new scratches or nicks, they took care of everything I asked them to, went over the truck with me on each item I asked and kept my baby safe.
They also said nothing of the PSP filter I left on it when I brought it in.
