Pics of A.R.E. cap + Traction Bars

Got the a.r.e. cap yesterday, but, they forgot to put the wing on before it shipped, so my wing is coming next week.

Also, got Jay's truck-trak's on. Simple install and even i can do this, lol.

The space from the snubber is just under 2" with a washer i added, Jay said max should be 2", guess we'll see how they work next week once i get my ET Drags on the truck!

p.s. these pics are on my alternate site since my other one is maxed out for the month, check back my regular site after the 1st for updates on my lightning page

do those traction bars make noises when you go over bumps?

show them things

Hey Beefcake. Could you post a picture showing the bars from the side of the truck, more like what would show to a person. Everybody shows the run over squirrel view but forgets that People will usually be looking from the side of the truck. Nothing meant to pss you off but everybody shows ONLy a shot from under the truck. I also want to see how they look from the side-a person's view. Would you?
Thanks

BTW I now you didn't make them but wouldn't the need for a shim(s) be eliminated if the bars that mount to the rear housing or leaf spring (I can't tell from the pic) were shorter? Is there a reason for them to be set so far away initially? I'm interested in these. They remind me of the old Lakewood bars with J-bolts. Had 'em on a 340 Demon and they were awesome. They mounted really close to the leaf.

I looked again and I see the difference. The L leaf is on top of the housing. The Mopar was under. Sorry.

correction

Not the length I'm referring to. The distance from the bar to the spring-the vertical pieces. Can they be shorter? I wish I had a CAD program at home so I wouldn't have to type so much. A picture is worth 1,000 words y'know. I'm sure they're built the way the have to be to work well and fit well. When I see them in person I'm sure I'll have an answer. Just a question because it seems they initially have too much space (snubber to leaf) from what I read here.
Thanks.

Terry, thanks for posting the pics.

How do they feel? Can you feel the front end lifting?

Let us know.
