Yeah, i wish they would have changed the white to some color like that, not that dull true blue crap. The new color in my opinion is nothing special. We need a color that sticks out. That color, or maybe yellow

LightninSvt I agree with you. The color reminds me of a Dodge Durango. Maybe I will change my mind when I see it in person.

Laser Blue???? Isn't that Bright Atlantic Blue?
I like it! I was kind of disappointed that Ford did not offer the L in Laser Red Clear Coat Metallic....Oh well, performance red is good enough for me!

The new color really should be a blue like that, not that dark True Blue....That Yellow L is wicked..imagine that bad boy with the polished tips and chromed wheels!

lightning al...

first off, i have photoshop 6.0

second, my projects are probably done the hardest way possible.
im sure there is an easier way to do this but here is what i did..

i used the lasso tool to select the truck only, and the parts i wanted to change the color of...

next i chose my color, went to Airbrush Tool (J). i set the tool on Color mode, then put it on 7% pressure.

air brush the truck...

then... i deselected the lasso tool, then went around the truck using zoom and airbrushed everything i missed, mostly around the border of the car, and near the lights etc.

after that, i went around again, but with the picture at normal 100% size and used my History Brush Tool (Y) and returned parts of the picture to original colors that were not supposed to be changed.

for example, the windows were blue (even more blue than what u see here), i returned them to the original color in the photo.
the grill was blue, i returned it to the stock black/grey.

overall i think it was a success, it doesnt take too long if u know the tools..

although i did forget to make the side bed step black to match the rear bed step..

if i come across any new colors ill post them

colors

They should be looking at vintage Ford muscle car colors. Orange, blue(like Boss 302), yellow. He$#, they'd be better off going to that Rasberry red than a nondescript blue.

I usually lasso, or hightlight the truck however you choose, and then change the hue, etc.

Other folks have used the "extract" tool in photo shop.... THat makes it easier since you can "extract" just the painted surfaces.

Then adjust the hue to change the color. But the color change Ideas above would be an interesting way to do it tooo..
