Negotiating the best deal on 02 L

I can get XPlan and use a $200 voucher on '02 L that should put me around $28,489 and change before taxes, title, etc.. Should I negotiate the dealer holdback here(~3% MSRP)? I don't think giving me half of this is to much to ask since I solicited them and I'll pick it up the day it arrives or there abouts. No time spent on lot. Plus I heard they get xplan comission(maybe holdback is included in that, i don't no). I guess I want the best deal (as we all do) without coming across as greedy and pissing them off.

got xplan pin # from spouse who works for a company that has exclusivity with Ford on all their vehicles. I've read from the threads in this forum that you can go to www.eaa.org and get a membership($40) for xplan plan pin # as well.

Geez, you're a wheel and dealer ain't ya?

$200 under X-Plan is a steal! Hell anything at it or under is.

That 3% holdback is something they rely off of on nearly all their cars. I think you may be getting too greedy. But that's for you to decide. Hey, think of it this way: If they say no you'll still get your truck for the former price you agreed on!
