Question Those Who Traded Their 99 For An 01

Got offered a deal on a new Red 01 today, 1000 under window and 0% financing. Those of you who have upgraded, how do you like the 01 compared to your 99?

Now before I get raked over the coals for a post I once made about 01 buyers being dumber than 99 buyers, it was meant to mean that we who bought first were smarter than those who waited three years and had not to do with those who traded up. Rake if you want to but I am interested. I'm paying 8% interest on my 99.

I will probably sell my truck outright. I've never been able to make a good tradein.

Why should I, nobody else does. Oh and I tried searching under "traded" and "99 for an 01" . The search machine doesn't like two lettered words.

Thumbs up

Noel,

Go for it..... We just got a Supercrew with very low interest rate 2.9% and could tow my 'L with it if needed.

Remember the .0% is if you finance it for 36 months at least that is what we were told.

Why should you? Maybe its your condensending attitude towards ANYBODY that asks a question on this board.....Did you expect any other kind of answer.....And did you ever think that maybe the people that posted questions that you answered with, "Do a search", tried a two lettered word(s) and didn't get a result. BTW...trade your 99, its night and day difference in the handling of the trucks And you know acceleration, is only a matter a spending money. Just ask Sal, Johnny or Jim. Sorry to come off sounding like 'search cop or something' but you knew somebody would answer like I did. Time to climb down off the soap box

Talking Raked? Bah, You get to walk the coals

Noel,

Former fellow RED 99 owner, I say go for it. The 99 is/was a great vehicle but the 01 wins. JMHO

The Bilsteins and the 3:73's are much needed improvement.

will they x-plan?

FAST GATOR

If you have noticed latey the search police, at the request of Doug, have been gone for awhile. Also, any post that I have answered since have been with answers.

Thanks Speedin Bob. I don't think they will xplan but I will ask.

Noel, I don't want this to become a ______ contest. Make the jump up to a 01, you will NEVER look back at your 99. And Thank You for the many "group buys" that you organized and I was part of But did you really think that nobody would comment on you questions LOL I'll check for your answer at 4:30 saturday morning before I go to work

I'll NEVER look back at my '99. Sure, black was phat, but a Silver '01 ROX!

Bilsteins, the 3.73s, added oomph, and the improvements to the appearance is well worth it! If you can get into a cheaper payment, all the better (who cares if you have to finance it longer or that you'll be in a payment for 2 more years than what you have now, you'll undoubtedbly always have a new car every few years anyways!).

Well...

I'm trading in my 2000 for a 2001. Black for black. I'm getting mine on X plan though so the choice is almost a no brainer. If I was you I would shop a little harder for someone who will do the X plan. Also, inspect the 2001 carefully. I checked out one dealer who took X plan and their Lightning had a scratched rim, a dinged up tailgate and (worst of all) a resprayed or poorly factory done paint job. It had overspray smack in the middle of it. Was quite a shame my 2000 was in better shape then their 2001.
