Question Ride Height

How much lower is the lightning than a stock F-150, and what components are used to achieve the lower stance?

Not sure of the exact height differance. I think it is like 2-3 lower. Lightning has different springs, shocks and sway bars.

I think I read somewhere that the front end has only been lowered 1/2" (!) from stock, while the rear was dropped 2". I think the special air dam/bumper gives it the appearance of being a lot lower than it really is. I know I was surprised to go into a parking structure and have to worry about hitting the ceiling! I thought it was a lowrider. Plus, you'll notice you still have great visibility in traffic, which doesn't seem right if you think of it as being drastically lowered.
