Is that a Bogart racing wheel? I saw something about that over on SVTperformance...it seemed hush-hush.

Cool

HI!... Thanks for all the responces guys. I definately want to do these 15 inch rims.

BABOLT : If you can, or want to, please send me those pics to my e-mail address in my lower SIG. THANKS. I think we are are thinking on the same level!LOL!

By the way, is there any aftermarket rear calipers that are thinner but will bolt right on out there?

RTKILLA : Yes the "99" SPORT F-150 here in CANADA came with the same brakes as the LIGHTNING. I'm not sure of the EXACT size but the rears are 13.1 inches? and the fronts were 12.1?

SAL : Let me know about those rims you found. Are they 15x 10??????

Photo of modified caliper mounting bracket and backing plate. If you study the photo you can see that the mounting holes have been reindexed (caliper bracket on the left). Without showing a stock rotor for comparison you cannot see the material removed from the modified rotor.

Guys I watched the JDM guys grind a set of calipers at FFW. My eyes were NOT calibrated but they didnt shave off much. 080 to 0.125 ( 1/8 th ) sounds right

His rims may have changed

Hey Guys,
I have the 15's on my L.
I ordered them from JDM and all I had to shave was about 40-60 thousands off the calipers only!!

I will take some pics of the 15's tomorrow at the track.

Also, JDM stocks the aluminum wheels for the front and rear. The rear are 15x10's.

Thumbs up

I got the 15" steel wheels from Mike @ Lightning Performance. I had to grind one caliper a little more than the other and had to mark the wheels for Driver and Passenger side. I would say about .080 from one side and .120 from the other side. There was a little bump in one wheel and it needed a little more clearance. Overall I am happy with them and would do it again, considering what they did for the performance of my truck.
